MULTI-ENGINE PISTON CLASS RATING (MEP) - The EASA Multi-Engine Piston Class (MEP) rating entitles the rating holder to operate a multi- engine piston aircraft certified for single-pilot operation. Flight instruction includes 6 hours of MEP flight training completed in a multi-engine piston (type PIPER SENECA) aircraft. During the dual instruction the student will learn how to operate a complex MEP aircraft, including a minimum of 3.5 hours training on engine failure procedures and asymmetric flight techniques. The ground school module includes 7 hours of theoretical training in the form of long briefings. The course is completed in 1 week.
Hold an EASA PPL(A), CPL(A), MPL(A) or ATPL(A)
Hold a valid medical certificate issued in accordance with Part-MED
Have completed at least 70 hours of flight as pilot-in-command of aeroplanes
